Does Cadillac Have an Electric Vehicle?
Even though gas prices are relatively low right now, environmentally conscious and frugal vehicle buyers can still be attracted to hybrid and plug-in electric vehicles. Many manufacturers are moving into this new type of propulsion, including luxury brands. Acura is one brand that has already released a luxury hybrid model, but does Cadillac have an electric vehicle? With the release of the 2017 Cadillac CT6 Plug-In later this year, Cadillac will absolutely have a luxurious electric hybrid vehicle. Keep reading to learn more about this new model.
CT6 Powertrain and Performance
The 2017 Cadillac CT6 will combine a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gas engine with two motors. Together this system can deliver up to 335 horsepower and 432 pound-feet of torque. This elegant sedan should be able to go from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.2 seconds, which should be equivalent to the performance available from V6-powered competitors. In electric mode, it has an estimated top speed of 78 mph, and 150 mph with gas and electric.
Plug-In Range on the Cadillac CT6
Between its plug-in charging capability and its efficient gasoline engine, the 2017 Cadillac CT6 should deliver a fuel economy of 65 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent). Using electric power alone, the CT6 should be able to go about 30 miles. Using combined gas and electric efficiency, that jumps to more than 400 miles of driving range on a single full charge and full tank of gas. This means a lot less stopping to charge your engine or refill the tank.
2017 Cadillac CT6 Plug-In Release Date
The CT6 plug-in was announced back in November 2016. This vehicle will go on sale this spring. Here at Certified Autoplex, we deal only with pre-owned luxury vehicles, which means that we won’t be seeing the CT6 plug-in anytime soon. You can however explore our current selection of hybrid and light-electrification cars.
